Up for sale is this absolutely stunning arts & crafts pottery lamp with bronze mounts. This piece was made to impress. Everything about it is very high quality, from the beautifully painted pottery to the high quality cast bronze base, cover and handles. The pottery is unsigned however it appears to me that it is a higher end Moorcroft lamp. The pottery itself features beautiful hand painted floral designs with Poppies and Iris, on a dark green back ground. To me what makes this lamp sounique is its French stylizedbronze handles, and the Chinese influenced base. These details really help to make the pottery stand out.It appears that the bronze may have been cleaned up a little bit in the past. However, the pottery is in great shape I see no visible chips, cracks, etc. to speak of. The lamp has been completely rewired with an antique style cloth cord, and an arts & crafts style plug. It has a nice antique Bryant pull chain socket with a Saturn endplus an extension so that the chain does not rub against the lamp. I think at some point this lamp wasconverted from oil to electricity, whichwas common practice back in the day. Overall this is a really great arts & crafts pottery lamp which would display perfectly in any room. The lamp measures 17.5 inches tall, base is 6 inches in diameter. (Please note the top decorative piece, directly below the socket seen in pic 5 is not bronze, and does show some wear.) If you have any questions feel free to ask.
