The Brass Rivets Have Been Cleaned Up And The Wood Has Been Stained/Waxed For A Great Finish And To Preserve It. Nice Clean Paper Lining, Free From Any Nasty Odors.
Like With Most Of These Old Victorian Travel Chests, It Has Suffered From Some Worm (image 9 & 4). This Has Long Gone And It Has Also Been Treated With A Wood Worm Repellent (this will also stop any future attacks). The Lock Is Also No Longer Functional/Damaged, Again This Tends To Be The Case With The Old Chests.
All in all a great looking piece of luggage which is ready to be used and displayed in your home.
