Thissterling silver wine taster is about 3 1/8 inches across the opening and about4 1/8 inches from the end of the handle to the opposite edge. This is solid sturdy feeling piece, weighingabout 79 grams. It is marked in 2places with the Minerva head and the M arrow P maker’s mark for OrfevreParrot. One mark is on the handle andthe other is on the outer edge of the bowl.I believe this is the mark for 950 silver, but I’m not sure, and I don’tknow the date of this piece.

Thispiece has the name Laurin Morey on the side of the bowl. There is a lobe design on half the bowl, and theother half has a grape cluster and orb design.The handle appears to be 2 snake heads, though they are quite worn down,so hard to tell, and the ends of the handle attachment look like arrows.

Thisis in overall good condition with no major dents or dings. It has surface wear and scratches. I saw 2 short deeper scratches on theunderside – see photo with yellow arrows.There are a few tiny dings on the edge – see photo where red arrow ispointing to one that is a little more noticeable. This piece is just slightly out of round,possibly as made or possibly a small edge dent/flat spot on the right side justunder the handle attachment – see photo marked in green. The handle looks like it has 2 snake or serpentheads, and those heads look like they have some eye/mouth features that arevery worn down. There is quite a bit oftarnish in the design hollows and crevices.
