Truly a work of art fit for a queen of any era!This absolutely amazing and huge flat cut garnet cross brooch is set with four, stunning and rich closed back garnets in deep, blood red that glints like electricity in the sunlight. The closed back rose gold setting protects and enhances their beauty, helping to preserve this lovely jewel of yester year.The garnets are in excellent condition with minimal signs of wear, even under a loop. I would consider stone condition beyond excellent for the age of this piece. The small loop on the back of the brooch in which the pin is secured does have a broken tip that would require repair easily and inexpensively done by any jeweler. I would also recommend adding a bale if your heart desires, to wear this lovely piece close to your heart as a pendant.It is possible the gold carat is higher than 9k, but as it was sold to me this way and is untested by myself, that is what I am selling at.The piece measures 1 3/4 inches long by roughly 1 /2 inches wide stone to end of stone, not including gold framing. The largest flat cut or emerald cut garnets I\'ve ever beheld in person.Do not miss your opportunity to take home this exceptionally rare piece!
