This exquisite Georgian 3 piece matching sterling tea set with ruffled gadrooned borders and ribbed band was made by Thomas Wallis, London England. The workmanship is beautiful, down to the recessed hinge on the tea pot and this was all done by hand. After the fathers death, the tea set was finished later. The accompanying tray is Old Sheffield Plate. There appears to be a repair on one of the feet, however, it is not noticeable. This combined tea set and tray came from an estate sale and was probably purchased in England by \"Auntie\". There was a note saying Old Sheffield Plate tray. The teapot dates 1806, the creamer 1807 and the sugar bowl 1816, based on letter marks. The tray has no hallmarks being common with Old Sheffield Plate but goes well with the tea set.The tea set is in excellent condition with no dents or heavy scratches, the bottom of the wood finial appears to have had a repair and also to the inside of the pot some solder repair. The tray has a small ding on the top and some copper bleed on the edges.The 3 piece tea set weighs 1079.5 grams or 35.8 oz. (not including tray).Teapot measures 5 3/4\" high, 11\" handle to spout and 4 1/2\" wide.
Sugar bowl 4 3/8\" high, 7 3/8\" handle to handle and 4\" wide.
Creamer 4 1/8\" high, handle to spout 5 1/4\" and 3\" wide.
