17\" Tall, German antique bisque socket head doll, marked: Made in Germany 390 A 2 M. Made by Armand Marseille, size 2, mold number 390, which was a very popular mold number, and made for a number of years, starting in the late 1890\'s. The head circumference measures 9 1/4\". The doll has her original brown glass sleep eyes, with painted upper and lower eyelashes, an open mouth with four teeth, and molded painted feathered eyebrows. She has her original wood and composition ball jointed body, with straight wrist arms but is missing her lower right leg. She comes with her factory original underwear, of underpants and slip, still tied to her body! There is no clothing, no socks or shoes and no wig. Condition: There are two factory done splits in the bisque at the top of her head, along the opening, which lead to a couple fine red color 1\" long hairline cracks in the back of her head, and a couple of cheek rubs. These are not cracks from damage, but done in the making. Very pretty face and all fingers are there! Circa 1900 era.Thank you for looking and good luck!
