Here we have a beautiful hand painted heavy porcelain figural grouping depicting two young lovers stealing a kiss behind Grandpa\'s back. They each are walking arm-in-arm, apparently taking him up to bed. Grandpa is wearing slippers, a night cap and a long robe decorated with attractive floral designs. It is in excellent condition. I could find no damage or repairs, only wear to the gold trim due to age. Please enlarge all photos for details. It is marked on the bottom with blue crossed swords under glaze of the Meissen State Porcelain factory in Meissen, Saxony, Germany. It is heavy for its size at 4.5 lbs. It measures about 9.25\" high and 7.5\" wide. I will be adding many more antique European figurines.
