Charming lithograph print titled: \"Good Night.\" This lithograph has printed \"Copyrighted By G.F.Gilman.1877\" printed on the lower left hand corner of the piece of art. It measures 19&3/4\" x 15&1/2\". It is free floating, and not mounted on the board that I have it displayed on in the pictures.Unfortunately, this piece does have some tears on it, which is why I\'m selling it \"as-is\" and am not offering a return on this one due to the fragility of the piece.
Despite the tears, the subject matter of the young child looking at the dog as they are stepping up into bed is very sentimental and sweet. The tears do not go thorough the images of the child nor the dog, just other parts of the lithograph. In the image, the child\'s clothes are strewn across the chair and appear to be boys clothes. It was common in the Victorian Era for parents to dress their boy children as girls until a certain age! So, perhaps this image portrays that, so take a zoom-look at the pictures of the images.
This could make a great piece for someone wanting to display it as-is under glass, or pay to have some restoration done on it. I\'ll be shipping it via media mail to keep the cost low, and will ensure that it is packed between 2 strong boards for stability in shipping.
It has lasted 138 years since 1877, and hopefully will find a new good home to take care of it!
