BRIEF HISTORY: Willsonite sunglasses made by Willson Goggles Inc. of Reading, Pennsylvania. Willson Goggles was foundedas T.A. Willson & Co in 1870 and was the firstfactoryin the world to manufacture optical glass for lenses and reading glasses. They became one of the largest manufacturers of safetyequipmentfor miners, military and aviation personnel. They made safety equipment for the military in WWI and WWII. In the 1920\'s the name was changed to Willson Goggles Inc. and again in 1936 to Willson Products. It was sold to Dalloz Safety Co. in 1997 and was closed down in 2002.
