Antique large hallmarked silver vanity hair receiver pot/box. The lid is fully hallmarked with assay mark for Birmingham, year letter for 1908 and the maker is the Boots Pure Drug Company. The glass base is beautifully cut & designed and has a starburst design on the base. Another nice feature is that this glass jar has a reg. no. impressed in the base, dating the design to 1906. The silver lid has a very pretty floral & swag repousse design around the rim (see pics). There are a couple of small dings to the lid and on the one side you can see a larger dent where it looks like it has been dropped. Displays beautifully and is a good size, measuring approx.....3.1/4\" high. base dia - 2.3/4\"
