Beautiful Antique Indentured Servant Contract handwritten on velum / parchment. Note the wax seal and the VI Pence blue stamp. Fourth year of the reign of George. Britain. Approximately 27 1/2\" X 20\". Very nice shape for its age.

The blue stamp on the edge is embossed with the French phase, \"Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense\" which translates to \"Shame on him who thinks evil of it\" which was the motto of the Order of the Garter. The phrase traces back in British history to King Edward III in the 14th century, who also ruled over part of Normandy.

This is a cool piece.
