There is some whiteness to the originalpatina, we did not attempt to clean, you can refer to the pictures.The glass insert has manufactured spider lines within the glass, you cannot feel them with your fingernail, the glass is 100% secure. Theinkwell measures 2 3/4\" tall x 6 3/4\" wide, the top of the inkwell measures 2 5/8\"and weighs approximately 1lb 5oz.
