Description
A very handsome Irish silver teapot dating to 1829.
The body of attractive squat melon form.
Sanding on an 8-lobed base circular base.
Hinged lid surmounted with a large ribbed knob.
Handle and spout with ornate decorative embellishments.
One side engraved with the image of a horse, the reverse with inscription.
Fully marked to underside for William Nolan, Dublin 1829.
With additional duty mark to underside of lid and bolt holding knob.
A quality piece, of very attractive form, with good gauge of silver throughout.
Condition
In antique condition with expected wear throughout.
Signs of solder to the interior between some of the lobes.
Hallmarks are clear and legible.
