HallmarkedDublin and dated 1826, the maker of this beautiful sauce/gravy ladle ismarked S & G (Smith and Gamble).

There istree symbol engraved on the front of the ladle handle. An oak tree symbolizes antiquity andstrength. A tree is often found on Irishfamily crests such as O’Connor, Boyle, Flanagan, Wood, Hamilton, Quirke,Jackson, Oak, and others.

This is anelegant, graceful and well-balanced ladle in very good condition. There arenormal surface scratches due to age and use. There are two small dimples inbowl which does not detract from the appearance of the ladle but can be seenwhen tilted in the light. Weight: 1 ½ounces (not Troy). Approx. 6 ¼” tall.Bowl is 2 ½”x 2”
