Hi, im a new seller and have for many years been collecting Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Southeast asian antiques, equally my parents collected so each week i will be listing a good mix of weird and unusual items, please keep me listed and help me get a 100% response score.OBJECT// Antique Japanese very fine carved boxwood Netsuke of a seated performing Monkey trainer with a wonderful expression to his face of annoyance, his eyes careful inlayed with inlayed black horn, to his bent knees stares up a baby Monkey on a cord, the hair superbly depicted, like all good Netsuke it as good from every angle including the bottom, the piece is 19th century, Meiji period and signed by the Artist Gyokumin, excellent colour and patina, serious collectors item.
CONDITION// Very Good.
SIZE// 5 by 4.5 CM.
