From a collector\'s estate for your consideration we have a wonderful 19th Century Lenzkirch Wall Clock. From the German Black Forest region in red and black toned wood cabinet with glass panel door, white porcelain clock face, and a beautiful copper brass pendulum with the original key.
Back Marked:Lenzkirch A.U.G.D.R.P. 21MAI1878 (May 21, 1878)??0157 (half of the first two numbers are under a bar only partially exposed, possibly 00, 88, 55, 33 or other)
Working Condition: Upon initial testing the clock stopped after 30 minutes, was then wound 1/2 turn restarted but stopped again after 15 minutes. Since the third restart the clock has been keeping time for 14 hours and still going strong.
Cosmetic Condition: This simple yet elegant Roman style Lenzkirch antique clock is in good to very good condition considering the age, with minor age appropriate surface wear, a hairline crack across the middle of the porcelain face, very slightly bent arms, and one section of wood trim missing from the lower left side.
