This is a VERY RARE fixed bladeantiqueknife from the English cutlery knife maker Maleham & Yeoman of Sheffield, England. The blade measures 9\" in length. There is a 1\" sterling silver section that separates the blade from the 4.75\" stag antler handle. The sterlingsilver section has 6 small hallmark logos stamped into the bottom of the metal. One looks like a lion, one looks like initials, and the others would only mean something to people who are expert in their metal hallmark symbols. Look closely at the blade and the maker\'s mark. It shows the initials V R with a crown between these initials. The initials stand for Victoria Regina, also known as Queen Victoria, who reigned for 60 years until her death in 1901. This is a VERY RARE knife with the royal logo that probably dates from the 1870\'s. There is also an iron cross and two other maker\'s marks below the lettering. I\'ve lightly polished the blade but it retains its antique patina. What a find for the antique knife collector!
