I was given this quilt by a best friend of many years! She said she received it about 15 years ago from an 86 year old man and wifewho were given it years earlier by an older Amish couple from Lancaster Pennsylvania.

This is a hand stitched antique stumpwork or plushwork tied quilt.The tufted three dimensional six point stars are sewn through110 men\'s wool suiting squares.

Jewel tone yarns were stitched around a tin star or flower pattern, then the tin star was cut away, leaving the chenille like stars.

This quilt measures approximately 76\" x 69\" with 110 - 7\" squares made from men\'s wool suits.
