Antique Mercury Dime Bead Necklace
Take a good look at this beautiful piece of handiwork. The necklace consists of 50 antique Mercury Dime Beads, that is two complete $5.00 rolls of these wonderful ageless U.S. mintedcoins dating back to the 1920s-1940s. They are skillfully domed out, drilled through the center and carefully soldered together. The tapered cones are designed out of 26 gauge sheet Sterling Silver and accented with fancy fine silver gallery wire bezel. The clasps are so heavy and sturdy it would take a hammer or a pair of channel lock pliers to bend them out of shape. They are formed out of 8 gauge half round Sterling wire. The necklace is almost 24\" long from clasp to clasp and weighs a hefty 275 grams or close to 10 ounces of solid silver Ag. This handcrafted item is strung on sturdy .047\" stainless steel jewelry cable. It has a wonderful patina and fits securely around the neck. $350 with free priority USPS postage and delivered in approximately three days from point of PayPal payment.
