Here is a Mexican Army sword, unmarked. The sword dates to around the 1840s. Most all of the Mexican Army swords came out of Germany. The sword is 31" overall with a 36" blade. The leather grim cover is long gone. THe sword was cut down at some point. May of been damaged or more likly shorten to fit a shorter person. Most Mexicans of that time were not much over 5 ft. Mexicans passed these swords down as they were used up . Shows plenty of wear and tear. I'm sure this on saw service into the Mexican Revolution era. It came from a Santa Fe arms collection . Payment is due within 5 days or I may re-list the piece!
