Here is a Mexican Army sword, unmarked. The sword dates to around the 1840s. Most all of the Mexican Army swords came out of Germany. The sword is 31" overall with a 36" blade. The leather grim cover is long gone. THe sword was cut down at some point. May of been damaged or more likly shorten to fit a shorter person. Most Mexicans of that time were not much over 5 ft. Mexicans passed these swords down as they were used up . Shows plenty of wear and tear. I'm sure this on saw service into the Mexican Revolution era. It came from a Santa Fe arms collection . Payment is due within 5 days or I may re-list the piece! Study the pictures before offerding, and ask questions if you are unclear about anything, be sure item is what you want before purchasing, because I DO NOT take returns. We described things as best we can but we are not experts in every field. You may know more about the item then we do. You are the judge as to quality and value. I try to list several new items every few days, so keep checking my listings that include many early Cowboy, Cowgirl and Mexican pieces selling all the time. I’m located in Santa Fe, .
