A mid 19th century, possibly French, small bovine bone needle case delicately carved with a pierced spiral. A small piece is missing at the very bottom end. Otherwise in perfect condition.
The spiral case came with a carved bovine bone, fabric lined outer case, which is in poor condition. I am not sure if they actually belong together.
Spiral case length: 6.5 cm (6 mm at the widest) Outer case length: 8.4 cm
