At the hinge of the small blade \"M.B.C\" is stamped. I believe that this is referring to Meriden Britannia Company, another factory in Meriden, CT. Meriden Britannia Company specialized in Gold and Silver Electro-plating. There are faint zig-zagging pin-stripes vertically on the pocket knife.The pen knife appears to have been a favorite. The majority of the design has been worn off from over the years. Perhaps it was used as a lucky-charm, or momento kept in your pocket to fiddle with. You can trace where the lines led to a monogram window in the center of the knife. The hinges work well. There is some tarnish present on the blades, especially near the hinges.
