Up for sale today is this superb specimen of an antique needlepoint, using very fine petit point stitching.

Size: Frame is 18\" long x 15-1/4\" wide. Needlepoint measures 13\" long x 10\" wide.

This is a rare religious scene as it depicts Jesus with all twelve disciples/apostles (as listed in Matthew 10:2-4):

James (son of Zebedee)

John (brother of James)

Bartolommeo

Thomas

Matthew (the tax collector)

This lovely piece is from the Victorian era in England. It\'s in a period frame that we believe to be original. Can\'t be certain of the date, but would estimate 1860-1890. Condition is excellent, save a slight crack in the upper right of the frame, and usual wear. See photos for detail. Displays beautifully.
