Norwegian Box
A beautiful large Norwegian bentwood storage box, or tine, with burn-embossed decoration covering the outside. A hand-stamped pattern of flowers, hearts, diamonds, squares, and dots covers every side, even the handle and side posts. Beautiful! Likely dates to the late 19th century, in good shape overall with a few imperfections. A charming example ofa classic Norwegian folk art.
Split along grain on side, missing stitches, slightly loose handle and other minor wear.15 1/4\" long, 10 1/8\" high, 8 5/8\" deep.
