This is an unusual Novelty Brass Vesta case depicting a wooden shedThis shed is an outside toilet with a lift up sloping roof and an opening doorBehind the door is a gentleman wearing a top hat sitting on the toiletA piece of late Victorian/Edwardian humourMatches are placed inside the lift up roof; striker is on the bottomWooden planking to the front and the latch are well modelledBoth sets of hinges are good and the lid and door close nicely1 7/8 inches tall at front; 1 1/2 inches tall at the back1/2 inch wide;7/8 inches deepThe screw at the back holding the gentleman in place may be a replacement as it is not brass
