Up for sale is this Stunning African Mask. I have owned this piece for about 40 years now and it was old when I purchased it. This is one of my favorites, so I really hope it gets a nice loving home... Till then, it will remain here and appreciated each and every day. This mask has gorgeous inlaid beads and inlaid brass and also what appears to leather like suede that it is all set into, stretched over the wood. I do not know the tribe or exact origin so please see all these photos carefully so you know exactly what you are getting. I put the new screw in the top back so it could be hung more safely, that is how it got damaged and the wood split, it had fallen off a nail it used to hang from. So I added the screw so the nails can hang on to it safely now. It is heavy and carved from a single piece of wood, not sure what kind of wood it is... It has been repaired like I said, could use a little stain to cover that up a bit. This is being sold AS IS. OVERALL MEASURES APPROX: 25\" Long.
