Moscow SynodalPress, 1896, 216 leaves , 432 pages, Booksize – 25.5 cm x 18.5 cm. Sheet size: 24cm x 17.5 cm. Four illustrations with images of the Evangelists made aschromolithography on separate sheets – (illustrations size 19 x 14cm). Thetitle page and each page of text printed in a patterned frame. Golden edges ofthe pages. Front fly leaf has previous owners inscription and stamp. With amazing polychrome metal \"oklad- prochekanka\" overlay - guilloche engraving. With two metal clasps that are also decorated with engraved ornaments. Satin velvet on wooden boards.

Complete copy in very good condition, some leaves w. thumbing spots, some with water stains, a few with wax stains from the candles, but generally near white and crisp paper, considering its age. Sharp images throughout. Binding has separated, fading of the velevet, some old tiny holes on the wooden boards from worms.
