Gorgeous 9x12 antique fringed area rug salvaged from an old dilapidated farmhouse
Oriental design in royal blue, black, gold, red, and green on cream background; flowers and symbols
Close, velvety pile, thread-bare and worn throughout the central wear pattern; but suprisingly sturdy and intact for its age and use;muchbrightercolor and pile around the perimeter of the rug, as to be expected for an area rug of this age

This rug was salvaged from an old dilapidated farmhouse on the day that it was being torn down. The old woman whoowned it was there to watch the demolition. She told us that she had just found the receipt for this beautiful old rug while they were cleaning out the house, and that it was purchased back in the 1920s for $120; but, alas, when we asked for the receipt, she said she shredded it; she had grown up in the house
Antique area rug in very good condition with wear from age and use; fresh from an old dilapidated farmhouse that was being torn down. Rug is sturdy and intact, including fringe and backing. Only one small hole was found in back of rug. Thread-bare throughout rug in wear pattern from use, mostly contained in the central body of the rug, but also throughout borders; shows as faded areas in the pics. A few snags and pulls, and some areas of stain here and there on front and back. Overall, in very good condition for it\'s age of nearly one hundred years--circa 1920s. Large maker\'s ink stamping on back is fully readable, as shown. Fringe is intact but shows yellowing on edges. This rug has been rolled out and vacuumed on back and front, and then rolled back up; it has not been cleaned. Some odor, with must, dust and soiling throughout; will need to be cleaned by its new owner. This is a salvaged item and is being sold AS IS. Please see pictures for best indication of condition.
