This is for a lovely elegant AmericanSecretariespocket travelling Pearce & Hoagland extendable dip pen. This firm existed in the mid to late 1800s in America. The gold filled dip pen is extended by moving the ring slider downand as you do this you pull back on the back end at the same timeto extend it that way andmake the pen full size. It hasthe original Pearce & Hoagland solid 14ct gold number 6 nib fitted and itis in excellent condition,there is no wear at all and it is in excellentclean condition. Closed it measures 85mm (3.3\")long and fully extended including the nib it measures 155mm (6\").
