This is a fine pair of antique Polish Judaica Sabbath (Shabbat) candlesticks produced by the Norblin & Company of Warsaw. The candlesticks are in the petticoat style with several levels of floral designs which taper down from the top. They measure14inches tall and are on a square base 5 3/8 inches by 5 1/4 inches. The candlesticks were originally silver plated through the “galvanic\" or \"GALWANIZACJA\"method. Most of the sliver plating is worn off. The candlesticks are marked on the base with an oval, “NORBIN I S-KA / GAWL. / WARSZAW.” They are also marked with circle with a swan under the Star of David that dates the candlesticks to 1860-1870. The stock number on each candlestick is “1139.” The candlesticks show normal wear for the age and use. A wonderful opportunity to acquire a wonderful piece of antique Judaica.
