Up for sale is this very unique find. I am not sure what they call this type of antique photography (tintype, ambrotype, daguerreotype) . It is inside a ornate case that is approx. 3\" down and 2 1/2\" across. The pictures show a little baby dressed up in their finest outfit with the eyes closed--looks like it could be postmortem but not sure. There is no glass but the gold rim is still attached. There is some ight wear to the case due to age but nothing major. When I took the photo out of the case to see the back I noticed someone has written what looks like a name but hard to read due to the material and shine of the black--see photos. A wonderful addition to your collection.
