This is a rare and very striking early Royal Doulton figurine called Masquerade that is beautifully hand painted.

He is wearing a red frock coat and holding a black tricorn hat as he bows slightly.

Masquerade was designed by Leslie Harradine and was only in production from 1924-1936.

On the base is the old \'Potted by Doulton\' mark, the name of the piece and the hand painted Royal Doulton number HN 599.

He stands 6.75\" tall and is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or repairs. There is a small area within the folds on the reverse of the coat where the glaze may have touched something in the kiln (see photos).
