DESCRIPTION:

Rarest Antique Primitive HISTORIC EARLY (Circa 1820) ASPARAGUS TIN can. The few (Less than 5) I have seen through research are in museums and high priced private collections. This has a Paper label and the hand soldered sealed top is still present. It was opened from the bottom. This piece is VERY EARLY in Canning History. Spanning types from PETER DURAND, Thomas Kensett, John Hall and Bryan Dorki (They are the fathers of canning). Anyway, Condition is EXCELLENT overall as you can see. Pictures are accurate and YES the colors are as VIBRANT as they are showing. This piece belongs in a museum. I doubt you will ever find another.
