Remarkably stunning Persian Qajar Dynasty Solid Copper with Silver Inlay Tray. Circa late 18th-19th century piece.
ONE OF A KIND NOTHING ELSE QUITE LIKE IT
Origin region is Middle East: Persian: Qajar
This is an original work of art, not a cheesy reproduction. Solidly built, hand formed , and engraved with an array of intricate artwork typical of Qajar quality.
Primary art features a revolving array of wildlife with many cameos. Birds, Deer, Flowers etc...Inbetween it all is ENDLESS floral, spiral, and amazing caligraphy. This item must have taken a ton of hours to finish.
I think its absolutely museum worthy due to the intricate art and craftsmanship deflecting an important cultural time in human history.
Its big too! The person in the backdrop of one of the images is a 6\'2\" man to give you size perspective.Some kind of foreign sale ID number on the back side, in blue marker. ***NOTE THE ROSEWOOD HEXAGONAL HAND CARVED TABLE IS SOLD SEPARATELY EVEN THOUGH THE TWO LOOK GOOD TOGETHER***Dimensions: 27\" diameter ~1/16th\" thick so its not going anywhere!
weight ~ a hair under 8 lbs.!!!Condition: Slight patina but the item is still very shiny and reflective (it was a little difficult to photograph, sorry for some overexposure). Overall in great shape. Some scuffs and dings as can be expected for items over 100y/o.Item will be INSURED.
