Offering a Royal Doulton portrait plate \"Champlain.\" This plate is one of the Nautical History or Great Explorer series done in the early 1900\'s and commemorates the life of Samuel de Champlain (1574-1635.) Has the Royal Doulton backstamp, some impressed markings and some blue markings, probably to identify the artist who decorated the plate. No cracks, chips, hairlines, flakes, bites or repairs. Has micro crazing of the glaze from age. Measure apx. 10.5 inches.
