ANTIQUE RUSSIAN ICON, SECOND HALF 18TH CENTURYTechnique : Egg tempera on wood, gold leaf, varnish.

Dimensions: 32x27 cm (12.5x10.6 inches)This is an authentic antique russian icon dated in the second half of 18th century. The icon has 3 levels of painting, on the first level we see the Virgin of Kazan, the Ressurection of Christ and Saint Nicolas. On the second level of this icon we see many selected man Saints and on the last level we see Saint George slaying the Dragon, 4 selected woman Saints and the last is probably the icon of Saint Theodore .
The icon is painted on carved wooden panel, it very nice work, probably it was painted after especially comission of a Family to the iconpainter.
