A silk belt(Hezam) worn by Moroccan women on ceremonial or festive occasions. The designis composed of floral patterns combined with heraldic motifs derived fromHispano-Moresque architectural elements. The base colour, dictated by theikat-dyed warp threads, graduates from orange to purple. Belts such as thiswere produced on the draw-loom in Fes and Tetouan area with Lampas structure. note that during next weeks I will offer for sale several antiquetribal textiles and artfacts with starting price under the cost.
