Here is an antique, early model single bit axe head marked \"A.A.&T. CO. patented 4-7-1900, Glassport, Pa.\" It was made by the American Axe & Tool Company. The head weights 3-1/2 lb. and it measures 7-1/8\" long by about 4\" across the blade.
