Antique Steel Bead Handbag

A gorgeous antique steel micro beaded purse with brass frame, blue stone (glass?) pendant, and steel bead fringe. Fabulous colors - pink, orange, blue, gold, violet - make up unusual floral pattern. Has gold-tone chain handle and silk lining. Excellent vintage condition with only two minor flaws: one or two of the fringes need rethreading and silk lining has a small tear (see photos). Purse measures approx 8 in high, fringe adds another 2 in. Width is 6.5 inches. Drop chain handle measures approx. 6.5 in.Frame is marked \"Patent Apl\'d For,\" but there is no manufacturer name. Many similar handbags were made in France. What a wonderful example of antique beading to add to your collection!
