Vintage Sterling Silver EAM Enamel Guilloche Dance Compact

Octagonal cartoucheedged in sterling to outline a turquoise colored background with pink roses.

Comes with a 10\" sterling wrist chain (these are often missing on these compacts)

Compact measures 2\" x 2\" x 1/2\"

Inside the compactis divided into two separate pots for face powder and powdered rouge.These pots are marked simply \"Metal\"

Powder puff is still present.

The powder pot has a grate which swivels to expose the powder and can be closed completely or removed to add more powder.

Back is marked \"EAM -- Sterling\" I believe the EAM is the maker\'s mark for Elgin American. I tried to image these marks in the last photo, however they have been rubbed smooth with age and are difficult to see without magnification.

The overall condition is very good vintage. Light signs of surface wear.

PLEASE NOTE: The mirror has a vertical crack running through the length of the mirror. This mirror measures 1 3/4\" in diameter and could be easily replaced, if so desired.

Beautiful item and very collectible.
