A Decorated Stoneware Jug, New England origin, probably Edmands, Charlestown, MA, ca.1860. Front features a Folk Art \"Whatchamacallit\" whimsy in thick, Slip-Trailed Cobalt. Could be an abstract Floral, Tornado, Waterspout, Cornucopia, or...? Call it what you will, the design is very bold and intensely blue. Complete with a \"very old\" cob of corn fitted in the spout, this little Jug always sparks an interesting conversation.Condition: Some minor imperfections in the making, including stack marks and inclusions; otherwise excellent.
