Up for sale is an antique signed Edison light socket. It has a Mica insulator on the inside. The key or on/off paddle is labeled \"Bryant\". The socket shell is signed \" EDISON PATENTS 250V 50CP \" The CP stands for \"candle power\". This meant that back in the late 1890\'s when this socket was made that the max. bulb would give the same amount of light as 50 candles all lit at once. The socket has the original cloth coated wire.
