Antique US WW1 Military Cavalry Horse Saddle Bags *Used With A McClellan Saddle:
$139.00

Antique pair of US WW1 M1904 Military / Cavalry horse saddle bags. The letters of U.S.have worn off of the fronts of both of the flaps and now all that remains is the extremely, extremelyfaint dim outline of the oval circle that had at one time encircled the two letters of U.S. It is the same on the insides or backs of the flaps -- there also the stamped letters can no longerbe seen, but the dim outline of the oval is still faintly there and this I think can be seen in the 7th picture. There are no canvas / cloth liners inside of the bags.

There are 12 pictures in all and the zoom feature is available. Also if you click on the main picture you will enlarge it and then larger images of all of the other pictures can be seen as well.

These saddle bags are old and they have been used, but all in all the bags are in pretty good shape--there are no rips, torn areasor holes. One of the bags though does have some scuff marks on one of it\'s sides and also on it\'s bottom and I have tried to show thisin the very last picture ( picture #12).

All of the closure straps of the bags are complete -- no torn or broken closure straps. They are all pretty pliable, butsome do havea little bit of cracking of the leather, but not all that bad.. On one side of the bag some little critter has very, very lightly chewed the sides of one of the closure straps, but the marks are so tiny that they are pretty hard to see and they didn\'t reallychange the appearance of the strap. All of the closure buckles are there as well.

There are some scratches onthe flaps and on thesection of leather that connects the two bags together(this is the flat wide middle section of the bags which goes across the horse\'s back). The flap that is scratched the most is shown in the 5th picture. The scratches that are on the bags middle flat connecting section of leathercan be seen in pictures #10 and #11.

Also in pictures #10 and #11 I have tried to show some faint stamped IDmarkings that are on the flat section of leather that connects the two bags together. There is also the remnants of some type of stamped IDmarking right by the stud hole in the very center of the saddle bags and this is shown in the 9th picture.

These U.S. WW1 Military horse saddle bags are being sold \"no returns\" and I will gladly send to anyone any additional pictures that they might like. I will also be happy to answer any questions.

buyers from the lower 48 states only please and payment would be appreciated with-in 3 days after the sale ends. Thank-you.
