Here’s an antique Underwood &Underwood Sun Sculpture stereoviewer, with a patent date of June 11, 1901imprinted on the aluminum strip on the underside of the viewer. This belongedto my grandfather, born in the early 1900’s.It’s in very, very good condition, with cosmetic scratches and a fewsmudges on the aluminum portion of the viewer.No rust or dents. The wood is ingreat condition, with some minor surface wear, but no cracks or breaks in thewood. The strong metal wire that holdsthe photos is bent forward on one side, but still holds the photos justfine. I have not tried to straightenwire. The wire is still quite strong andfirmly anchored in the wood. The lensare in excellent condition……….I could see no scratches at all…….and the viewerworks perfectly. Just look at the photosand you can see the wonderful overall condition of this viewer.

The aluminum top of the viewer has avery nice design debossed on the surface, with the “Sun Sculpture” logoimprinted in the center.

Included with the viewer is anantique stereocard “From Notes of Travel, No. 7, copyright 1904, by Underwood &Underwood.” The card is entitled “Theroad to the Pyramids-westward toward Gizeh from near Cairo, Egypt. Copyright 1896 by Underwood &Underwood”. The card is slightly curvedand lets in a little light at the bottom when on the stereoviewer. I have many more stereoview cards that I will be listing at a later date.
