Here is a antique oil portrait of a young handsome blonde boy in a blue and white plaid coat. The painting is oil on canvas that has been affixed to board ( I believe). It is framed in a oval gold frame. The painting is unsigned anywhere I can see. The painting measures 19 x 24 ins. framed and painting alone is about 16 x 20 ins.The painting itself is in fair/good as is vintage condition with only some craquelure,scrapes and minor in-painting.The frame is in poor/fair as is vintage condition with a large chip off right side of compo/gesso overlay.
I woudl date this painting to the 1870-80s time period,possibly 1860s.
