Offered for sale antique, vintage Spanish pottery, glazed ceramic plate. This plate has scalloped edge, like plates for egg serving. Hand painted with beautiful leaves decorative bordure and center main design Boy holding/playing with kite. Boy is dressed as Spanish colonial boy. Very tasteful color palette, cobalt blue, earth brown, terracotta, orange, olive green. Whole plate, both sides, have crackles, like old used glazed pottery. I am not sure how old this plate is, looks like vintage, possibly antique. Also those crackles, I am not sure it is made to imitate old appearance, or they still exist. On the back plate is marked/signed, Talavera and numbered, E . 612. I am not positively sure plate is numbered or it is some kind of writing? Very large and heavy plate, it measures across almost 13\", actually 12.75\". Amassing decorative plate. It is wall hanging plate, has wholes on the back if you wish to hang it on the wall. Scalloped edge is painted in cobalt blue. Edge has some damage on couple places, glaze is fell off. Plate is not chipped, just has loss of glaze on some spots.It is absolutely reparable, touch. up with same color. I am able to do this, before shipping, if potential buyer wish it. This damage does not at all disturb beautiful design. Please see my pictures regarding condition. Rare collectors piece. Feel free to ask any additional question.
