A truly stunning Victorian Scottish 15ct Gold \'Halo\' Brooch, which is in crisp original condition and dates to c1895. It is set with a beautiful oval faceted Cairngorm \'Whisky\' Coloured Citrine that measures approx\' 15mm by 11mm in a millegrain setting with a border of flowers & leaves set with Seed Pearls (please see the detailed close-up photographs provided, which form an integral part of the item\'s description)
This wonderful antique Brooch has been beautifully crafted as a deep collet finished with a millegrain edge surrounded by a beautifully detailed foliate border set with Seed Pearls - all within an openwork \'halo\' surround to create a fabulous Scottish Cairngorm Citrine Brooch that is quite simply sublime.
Typical of the period the Brooch is stamped \'15ct\' on the reverse, confirming that it is made from solid 15ct Gold and the pin is stamped \'9ct\', as shown. Overall this fine quality Brooch is in crisp original condition and appears to have been rarely worn; it is complete with it\'s original hinge, \'C\' clasp and 9ct Gold pin, which work as they should.
