A Coalport pot and cover cobalt ground, handpainted with pheasants and flowers. Victorian, England, 19th century. 10inches high. Bell shape, deep blue ground. Fabulously gilded lion mask handles. Rich neoclassical gilt decoration surrounding panels of birds & flowers. Suppported on lion paw feet. Lid with openwork and gilded finial. Great quality. Green Crown Mark England/Coalport/AD1750, painted pattern no 5146 over 200. Generally good condition. A few fine age cracks in gilding of feet.
