This is a stunning quality antique Edwardian period circa 1910 sterling silver Scottish Cairngorm champagne citrine brooch.
I have collected agates in Scotland for over 20 years and know where most of the lovely gemstones that Victorians used for their classic jewellery were found.
The stone is a fabulous champagne citrine from the Cairngorm mountain range that has been fully tested by a local jeweller and is a genuine citrine.
The brooch has no hallmarks which is fairly normal for pieces from this period but has been fully tested and is sterling silver. The length is 2.3 cm ( Just under one inch ) and the pin and C clasp are in good working condition and original.
