This is a stunning antique sterling silver Victorian or Edwardian circa 1900 Scottish agate bracelet. ( Please note this is not a brooch)
I have collected agates in Scotland for over 20 years and know where most of the lovely gemstones that Victorians used for their classic jewellery were found.
The Scottish gemstones are a superb selection of Fife agates with carnelian and pink agates all mixed to produce a stunning display of Scottish gemstones.
The bracelet is made of silver and although not hallmarked which is fairly normal for pieces from this period, has been fully tested and is silver. The length is 16.0 cm ( Six & a quarter inches ) although this can be further altered by removing or adding some links and the push type clasp is original and in good working condition. The bracelet width is 1.9 cm which is just over three quarters of an inch.
